COVID-19 MODIFICATIONS If you've ever attended one of our recitals, you will notice many modifications for the upcoming show to combat the transmission of COVID-19. While the gathering of groups under 50% capacity has been permitted in settings such as this, you will find we are taking many additional precautions for this event. These include (but are not limited to) the following list. We will continue to adhere to state guidance and will update and make changes to this list as necessary. - Smaller show sizes and audience sizes - we will be breaking our shows into much smaller performances thereby limiting our overall gathering size. - Families will be sat as groups and seats will be separated into groups of 6. Groups of seats will be spaced out to ensure there is enough space in between groups to maintain social distancing. - As always, all employees will be wearing face coverings and keepsake and keepsake representatives will also be wearing gloves. All attending adults and children over the age of 10 must be wearing face coverings during the entirety of the Rehearsal and Recital. - Attendance at the Rehearsal will be limited to ONE parent only per dancer - We will add signage with all mask disclaimers. - No traditional finale with all dancers on stage will take place. Instead, after each dancers time on stage they will find their families seated in the audience and go sit with them. At the end of the performance dancers will stand up, in front of their families for the audience to give them one more HUGE round of applause! . - Dancers will sit with their class in the dancer waiting area. There will be designated spots laid out for dancers to sit in - A sanitation station will be set up upon entry for anyone who wishes to use it - Hand sanitizer will be issued to dancers upon their arrival and before they exit the building - No paper programs will be distributed, but rather a digital program accessible on your phone

BOPPERS PARENT INFO If your child is a Bopper in this show, this info is just for you :) The key differences for the Boppers are unlike the other age groups, you will stay with your dancer during their entire recital experience. You will start in the dancer waiting area just like all of the other dancers, but you will also accompany them on stage just as you have in class and will at the rehearsal. After your time on stage, you will take them back into the audience to watch the rest of the show!
HAIR & MAKEUP We want the recital to be a stress free day and we know how much stress hair and makeup can often add to this! Please do not feel that you have to apply heavy makeup to your dancer - it should be natural and maintain their natural beauty being a child. Watch the video below for some great tips and guidelines.....
CARING FOR YOUR COSTUME It is important to know how to care for your costume leading up to the show! Here are a few tips! 1. Try on your costume when you receive it! Make sure there are no sizing issues or defects. Attend a fitting date so that we can help you with anything that needs to be fixed! You can also email email@example.com if you have a defect issue. 2. Do NOT take the tights out of the packaging until the weekend of the show! You don't want to wear them to class or risk tearing them before the recital. 3. If your costume has a tutu, fluff the tutu the week before the show! Pull apart layers of tulle or mesh for full fluffiness effect! 4. Tulle and mesh will likely be wrinkled from being in their storage bag. DO NOT IRON THEM AS THEY WILL MELT!!! Instead, hang it in the bathroom with the door closed while you shower and then smooth out the fabric by tugging on it slightly. You can also LIGHTLY steam if you wish! 5. Keep the costume in the garment bag provided to you as well as all needed hair accessories and tights so that nothing is lost when you need it!
BACKSTAGE ACTIVITIES Once checking your child in on the day of the recital, they'll experience a ton of fun activities backstage! We have activity stations in the cafeteria as well as on their path to the big stage! The entire time they'll be supervised by our event team who will work to ensure that dancers are both staying safe and having fun! Some of the stations they'll experience are: Bean bag toss game, simon says, coloring, story time, practicing their bows and much more!
CHECK IN & OUT SAFETY PROTOCOL When every parent knows what the protocols are, it helps all of our dancers stay safe! With so many little ones under the age of 10, it's a big responsibility to keep track of everyone and ensure everyone is going home with the right party: it's one we take very seriously. When you check in to the recital, your dancer has a number. You will receive a wristband with a corresponding number. If at any point during the show we need you to come to your child, we will call this number out over the microphone in the auditorium and also say where we need you to go (cafeteria, backstage, etc). After the show, please help us by asking all of your guests to exit through the main doors of the auditorium ONLY. This is for the safety of our dancers as they travel back to the cafeteria for pick up. Please wait in front of the cafeteria behind the barricades patiently until ALL of the dancers are safely back in the cafeteria. Once they arrive, we will let parents with GREEN BRACELETS ONLY in to pick up their children. We know it's exciting and everyone wants to see their dancer after the show, but it's important to have other parents and guests wait in the hallway or outside to avoid more chaos than is necessary upon pickup. Please check in with your dancer's chaperone to check them out!
PARENT HELPERS Parents are always welcome to be backstage helpers! They are an integral part of our show and we love having their warm, caring and responsible personalities to help us out! We will send an email a few weeks before the show asking for volunteers. It is important that volunteers know that: - Once you submit to volunteer, you are responsible for finding a replacement should you no longer be able to participate. - You will be required to attend a short volunteer meeting the day of the rehearsal so that everyone is up to speed! No children are allowed at this meeting to avoid distraction. You may choose to attend the meeting that takes place during your child's rehearsal time slot OR another meeting throughout that day. Meetings will be held at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm & 2:30 pm - all volunteer meetings will be in front of the cafeteria at North Andover High school. - Helpers will have the opportunity to upgrade up to 4 tickets in our VHP (Very Helpful Person) preferred seating area of the auditorium. - You will receive your VHP tickets at the volunteer meeting. If they are lost, there is no way of honoring them. - You will be sent a short video to watch prior to the event to explain how the backstage recital process works. - During the event, you will be required to wear a black tshirt. - During your dancer's performance, you will have the option of watching them dance from backstage OR going to sit in the front row, and then return to their class to escort them back to the cafeteria. - YOU MUST STAY WITH YOUR CHILD'S CLASS FROM WHEN YOU ARRIVE AND THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THE SHOW. THERE IS NO OPTION TO SWITCH OUT ANOTHER PARENT OR PERSON FOR YOUR STATION AT ANY POINT DURING THE RECITAL.
